Oct 22, 2008 - Reminds me of Albert Pierrepoint, former hangsman, who later in life became very anti-capital punishment.

Nov 14, 2008 - y is it that john newton thought that God answered his prayers when in fact there was a lot of slaves praying on that boat? what if God was answering sumone elses prayers and it just happen that he was just on d same boat? just couldnt understand y he would think that right away.

oifmarine81 Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - how ironic. a song well-sung by african american singers was written by a slave trader

holland2312 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - to be honest she's not that great. without the choir it really wouldn't be very good. no conviction in her singing at all, or her facial expressions, and she can't keep time. her voice sounds nice, but thats all. just nice, and unfortunately insincere. there are many better versions on youtube. the choir were amazing though.

Nov 22, 2008 - bueno algo d claridad

mstuddock Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Your problem is in your hearing, not her singing. If you knew Judy Collin's story, you'd know this song is deeply personal for her -- an instrumental part of her escape from the oblivion of alcoholism. Any insincerity is projected by you onto her. Regarding her singing: her voice is unique, clear as a bell, and haunting.
