kylatruther Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Haha the girl reporter just doesn't know how they could possibly "top" a story about a lady forcing her cats to swim against their wills...yeah, I'd say you could top it with just about anything that qualifies as actual news...
imaginetheresno Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Of course they can swim...did you think they'd sink to the bottom? It's whether they go in freely you dolt. Yep, the cat will clean itself, ingest all those chlorine and pool chemicals. Keep it up and some day, you'll try to figure out why your cat is dying from intestinal problems. Did you know that a ground hog can climb a tree? It can IF IT HAS TOO. I saw one escape a dog that was off leash. Commom sense IS NOT COMMON !
twankedls Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - CRAZY CAT LADY
Piisuke Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - And again proof of the idiocy of humankind. It is common knowledge that cats do NOT like water. Yes, they can swim. Do they like it? No, hence they don't swim, at least choose not to. Heck, the first thing her cats do is getting OUT the water. Ah well, I think I want a crazy thing for my hamsters as well. I think I will teach them how to catch a stick.
Hermit4321 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - all animals can swim. some just dont like it.
cuteycat8 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - Dam.... That cat can swim better than me.....
wickedkitty333 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - What a bitch; I can see doing it once to assure they can get out if they fall in, but they don't like it and it can't be good to lick off chlorine...
LazloRocks Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I came here thinking people were going to think this were cute, I'm glad people know how dumb this lady is and know that all four legged creature can swim
rastaman36 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - watch the reporters at the end WTF? so shit lol
rachied123 Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - well, yeah they'll swim if they have to. same way a kid that 'can't' swim will 'kitty paddle' to get out of the water.
meengreen10 Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - you no they pee when they go on the water? they all do
3rocktica Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - um, mine doesn't...
3rocktica Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - Actually, my cat DOES like water. We don't teach cats to be okay with water when they're young. I did on purpose...although now my cat tries to get in the shower with me. I had a dog once who was TERRIFIED of water, because that's what her original owners taught her. If you use water like a punishment, of course they're going to hate it. It's a developmental thing, not a genetic dislike.
Piisuke Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - Lemmie rephrase my previous comment, naturally in a normal environment, cats do not like water. Only when owners force it upon their cats, in whatever state their mind is, cats will learn how to cope with water. Does this change things? No, the owner of said cat still remains questionable for forcing cats into the water. The trail of thoughts of trying your cats to like water baffles me. Would you like it if YOUR cat forced YOU to EAT the frogs and mice he caught?
Piisuke Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - Actually, no and I am surprised to see you actually believe it. Chickens, for example, cannot swim. Heck, they can't even fly, but that is a different subject. Although, your comment could be compared to "all animals can fly, some just don't like it". Yeah, that sums it up pretty much =).
Hermit4321 Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - actually chickens can paddle them selfs with their wings to shore cause most do that when they panic, unless they think they are a duck.
Piisuke Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - I have seen a chicken needed to get rescued out of the water, so maybe it was just that one then. Fine, a giraffe, or certain apes sink like bricks. Either, not animals can swim.
Curly1212 Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - ugh, that Lady reporter annoys me ... -.- *death glares at her*
Caitlin2112 Says:
Nov 22, 2008 - Wow... Strange. Most cats hate water.
CritterLover4Life Says:
Nov 15, 2008 - I run over cats all the time with my big red truck because that's how much I hate them. LOL.
