The stunt itself was extremely stupid from an aerodynamic prespective. To cut through the air at that speed and attack angle you would need a needlepoint shaped vehicle, not the huge flat-fronted Lincoln. The little 'wings' installed on his car were crushed in microseconds under the tremendous loads placed on them.
