As to your question of why they are showing Obama in the clip, it was probably because they just finished talking about his ties to Fannie and Freddie through Franklin Raines, who is / was a top Obama advisor and Fannie Mae CEO.

Second the community reinvest act basically stated that everyone had the RIGHT to own a home. I think everyone should own a home but when you call something a right you make sure it happens by any means necessary. So this act told the fannie and freddie to loan to people that most likely could not pay.

That means if you are black or white you do not get the loan! Except one problem was the crooked lenders, apprasiers, and even some underwriters. They over valued homes on purpose to get paid themselves. That is problem one, the other part is ARMs. It's a great idea at 5%, but what happens when it adjusts to 15%? People cannot afford it.
