It's what I got out of the show, but my friend said he thinks of Haruhi more like a daughter, what with all the father/daughter things he says and thinks. He is obsessed with her and wants to monopolize her time but he never kisses her or says he loves her- does he even think "I love Haruhi" in a voiceover? Yeah he comes back for her but I guess it could just be that he enjoys her and everyone else's company in the Host Club. Idk what do the rest of you think?
