Dec 1, 2008 - all music videos are filmed with the song prerecorded. even if he could sing backwards, he can't play with spaghetti on his guitar. not to mention the idea is ridiculous.

Dec 1, 2008 - My best guess is that he listened to a reversed version of the song enough to get the reversed vocals memorized. Then they shot the video of him mouthing or singing along to the reversed version that they were probably playing in the background while the video was being shot.
