Dec 25, 2008 - I can agree to a point and no the ACR is not strictly a track car that would be the competition coupe. Ive driven almost all generations of the viper and let me tell you I love them all they are a little more rough and tough but thats how I like (GTS). The newer Gens driver very comfortably dont listen to magazine dribble there are many people who prefer to drive the Viper daily over a Corvette so it all comes down to preference.

Dec 26, 2008 - dcsdr, did the ACR have the old 500HP or the new 600HP?? I wasn't sure of the years and wondered if they were modified. I only know the ZR1 has 638HP. Also one guy(probably an 18 year old working at PepBoys) said the ACR is $10,000 cheaper and another $25,000. Thanks.

Dec 27, 2008 - If you are talking about the new ACR, yes 600hp. They are modified from the base SRT-10, but they still are considered to come from the factory stock. And yes, the it does breath better then the Gen 3
