This single European emergency number is 112. Wherever your travels in the European Union bring you, 112 can be dialed free of charge, from fixed and mobile phones, or from a phone box. 112 is available in all Member States except Bulgaria. Feb 13, 2010 - If you call 112 on a cell phone, it would be routed to the 911, but it's freakin slow. I tried once when I witnessed a car crash, and it took at least two minutes just to get routed to 911.
