Oct 1, 2008 - OH NO! A SAUSAGE ON FORK! thats why Grange Hill had no jewish kids! They wanted to avoid that sort of abuse from rowdy East Londoners. Also who used to read comics about school?!
MichelleKenobi Says:
Oct 3, 2008 - Hehe. I literally obeyed Edgar Wright's instructions on the new Spaced American DVD. He said "Go on Youtube and look up grange hill" to understand his comic book sequence that referenced it in Season 2. lullz all around.

steerpike66 Says:
Nov 5, 2008 - Floella Benjamin just released a righteous rant about the collapse of children's programming: Grange Hill was a great, intelligent program that looks silly because we IMAGINE that kids need to see nasty, grotesque programs that are supposedly adult (screaming, fu-king, sneering, screaming again) instead of programs that teach them how to deal with the values of their specific social group. Time to establish a proper children's TV charter.
IceManSudan Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - grange hill used to do my fucking head in swear down i wud actual massacre that school lol

AyanamiChaos Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - i never watched any of the CBBC/CITV crap like Grange Hill and i turned out ok. I should also point out that i spent my days playing video games, watching japanese cartoons and practicing karate. According to todays PC views, i should be a murderous layabout how scrounges off the taxpayer; funny that - im in a mathematical engineering degree with 9 highers and a job......TV/Games don't influence people to do bad things; they only influence people who are already wrong in the head
steerpike66 Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - Rampant individualist misses point. Not everyone is lucky enough to be a rampant individualist; lots of kids are adrift in the world with shit parents and no focus at all. Since they tune into the tv more than the rampant individualists, it might be a good idea if these sad toddlers don't see too much rape and domestic abuse while their parents ignore them from age 1 to 10. Tellytubbies DOES actually make kids more tender and less sadistic; this is the point I'm trying to make.
steerpike66 Says:
Nov 10, 2008 - One more point Ayanmi: you are FAR too young to remember the golden age of children's TV. If you were born in 1990, as you say you were, it was all completely degraded and awful by that point already, Grange Hill included. I actually remember 1978, and the reruns of stuff from the 60s, and it was really nice.
devilangel109 Says:
