SarahLeia Says:

Oct 22, 2008 - I'm Australian and I very highly value orators who have a brilliant ability to speak, like Obama. I take careful note of what they say but I won't listen to someone talk for a long time, like a politician's speech, if they can't speak well...

SarahLeia Says:

Oct 22, 2008 - mousemousedogmouse: Maybe it's because it's really quite late but you cracked me up with EVERY PERSON IN THE ROOM.

Nov 3, 2008 - "how tired and how outdated!" - gerryiom

ryanisjimdandy Says:

Nov 3, 2008 - Sorry, I should be more clear. I was poking fun at the above statement. I do believe it's out-dated, but for me that doesn't mean something isn't amusing.

hansvalen Says:

Nov 10, 2008 - outdated how? language still exists does it not?

thatdrattedcat Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - VERY TRUE. One of my greatest regrets is that I hadn't been grounded in more languages as a kid. Second language education wasn't even offered until I was about thirteen or so. I'm trying to make up for lost time in college, but of course the language acquisition device slowly fades as you grow older.

thatdrattedcat Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - "ja ja" kann auch "ha ha" bedeuten. Auf Spanisch klingt der "J" wie einen "H"...

NGS712 Says:

Nov 19, 2008 - thatdratted: Yes, that's pretty much what I was saying. ;)
