Nov 20, 2008 - You're wrong on that one, my friend. The DBS is light years ahead of the R8 in terms of construction, materials and build quality. The R8 is a mass-produced car, like Porsche. In the time it takes to make one 911, Aston hasn't finished PAINTING a DBS. And Audi's engine is very strong but I don't think it any way compares to the DBS' Cosworth. Just listen to sound each one makes. Only a V12 Lambo or Ferrari is in the same league as the Aston V-12. Come on now....;-)

The engine might sound better than the DBS. I prefer the DBS to the R8. But, the DBS does cost twice as much. Oh yeah, and both cars don't really look similar. The Audi is a proper thoroughbred car, while the Aston is a beautiful work of art. Quattro all wheel drive and a magnetic ride. The Aston has rear wheel drive and Bilstein dampers.

Dec 2, 2008 - To me, the DBS is on an entirely different level in every way except flat-out performance and all-weather ability, than the R8. The R8 looks like some sort of Transformer abortion. The DBS is gorgeous inside and out. The engine note is beyond comparison. The Gallardo sounds better than the R8 by a mile. To me, it's easily worth twice the price of a R8. I wouldn't buy an R8 under any condition, whereas the DBS is on my TO DO LIST.
