Nov 9, 2008 - I agree. I mean, what is so good about killing someone? If they were put in prison, first of all, it would be like the world is free of them, and unless they escaped, the world would be much safer, with the exception of the the prison guards, but they're smart people. GREAT VID YOU ARE AWESOME

Nov 11, 2008 - The other point, i have made this one before on you tube too, is the death penelty must be against your own constitution. You see capital punishment is not used in the western world any more, except of course in America. Cruel or unusual punishment is against the US constitution. Whilst it could be argued that its not cruel. As the US is the only western country using capital punishment then how can it not be classed as unusual?

Nov 18, 2008 - one thing anti-death penalty people often do, and you did it too, is completely leave out the victims and their families. i hope you never have to experience the sense of loss of having a loved one murdered. thankfully i haven't. executions bring a sense of closure for the family... and justice for the public. it may not be a deterrent, and may not be cheap... but it's a just punishment. btw, criminals can escape from prison while they're alive.

Nov 18, 2008 - i think that id rather die than be kept degrading in prison for the rest of my life..

Nov 19, 2008 - The way I see it is. An eye for an eye Say the suspect stabbed his victim 34 times. The suspect should be stabbed 34 times. To have the same slow and agonizing death as his victim did. And yet they are crying and complaining over the needle hearting. Compared with what could and or should be done to them, they shouldnt be crying over some needle because things could be a whole lot worse

kevin4peace Says:
Nov 26, 2008 - but why should somebody be punished with death for something they have done by accident?

Nov 29, 2008 - You gave the correct reasons as to why the Death Penalty is more expensive. The solution is make it less expensive...allow two appeals...and the criminal has two years. After two years...poof...if no evidence is found to prove the criminals innocent...he dies immediately. As to convicting innocent by accident...revising the "failed" judicial system seems more logical than allowing criminals to "live" after committing an artocity.
imnoturmum Says:
Dec 2, 2008 - Several points from me: 1. Here in the UK, our prisons are overflowing with violent criminals. Is sentencing more criminals REALLY practical? 2. So you suggest a life-sentence without the chance of parole, keeping appeal costs down and minimising the cost of imprisonment. Okay, but surely there would be protests if new evidence came to light or something.
imnoturmum Says:
Dec 2, 2008 - Also, my friend BlueSkyfish says that forced labour is far more practical in terms of generating money rather than wasting it on people who have forfeited their right to a decent life. 3. If people who commit (capital) crimes ALWAYS acting irrationally? If so, why not just forgive all of them and forget all about it? No. Acting under any influence does not shift the blame.
lolo2556 Says:
Nov 7, 2008 - to sum my argument up quickly- i believe it is never moral to kill someone except in war
