The Tell-Tale Heart is a wonderful animated short film of 1953 based on Edgar Allan Poe short-story. The story told by a mad man has a dark visual with a perfect work of narration by James Mason. It is a UPA Production and was the first cartoon to be X-rated (adults only) in Great Britain under the British Board of Film Censors classification system. Really great - you have to see it.

If they would have won America would still be under their rule, so no matter which way you look at it, and no matter what the Brits may say and think, America won! Sep 24, 2008 - I love this animation. Being an animation student myself. We watched this and had to critique it and it was awesome. The subtle animation and excellent use of shadow and color. It's a classic UPA cartoon. Long story short this animation kicks ass!
