Mar 23, 2010 - Love how, back in them "Olde Dayes," Jagger himself has to lower and adjust the mike for Keyes' sax solo, then pull it back up and tighten it with precison-timing and economy of gesture. In my Top Ten of Stones songs, that's for sure.

Apr 3, 2010 - I love this song. Thanks sphincter. I loved you all, Paul

moondough Says:

Apr 5, 2010 - @titostacos I love Booth's book. Read it maybe 3 times by now. Some of the best rock writing there is. There's a glimpse or two of Booth in "Gimme Shelter." And along the lines of my previous comment about life on the road in the old days, there's a scene in the film that always strikes me: It's when Keith is lugging his own bags into his room at the Holiday Inn. Bet it's been a long time since Keith had to schlep his own bags or stay at a Holiday Inn!

gnute9 Says:

Apr 8, 2010 - @Dogo10 Right on, Brother. No knock on Mick, but Keith's vocals on a live cut of Gimme Shelter blows Mick's away. If I could go back in time I'd be there, front row at The Garden in '72. Best show I ever attended.

Apr 12, 2010 - the very best rock n roll blues country band ever seen

ferrd69 Says:

Apr 17, 2010 - i haven't heard a bad version of this song from the 72 tour. on every single one they hit a ditch-deep swing groove. acoustic! they were just an amazing band. (i'm surprised jagger allowed this version in the movie. he looks old before his time; he's only twenty-eight. bad lighting.)
