Movin On Part 1 of 6 General Delivery

Movin On was my favorite show when I was a kid. This episode called "General Delivery Raleigh" aired on November 4, 1975. These six clips will take you back in time. I inserted some classic commercials from around that time. The "Buy the World a Coke", "Indian crying about litter" and others are disbursed throughout. Enjoy!

Apr 3, 2009 - I just snagged a model of it on ebay. MIB unopened. Until now :) After 30 years the decals are still perfect! (except on the box the stripes look gold, but the're a pale light green on the sheet) It'll be sitting with my pair of Pete 359's and the replica of the "duck's" Mack i'm trying to build (VERY slow progress) To young to have seen this show when it was on, so thanks for posting it

Sep 29, 2009 - Classic truckin. I never missed an episode. Thanks for bringing back some good memories. My Pop was a owner operator from the 60's tru the 80's, haulin heavy equiptment and specialty flatbed cargo. Bumped into "Will and Sonny on location in Charlotte, at the old 500 truckstop on Freedom Dr. I still have the signed photo. It's not a glamourous life like the TV wants you to believe.

Jan 22, 2010 - Thanks for posting! What great memories this brings back of my father and I watching this show when I was a kid. He was an owner operator then, with a 1973 cabover Kenworth. On one of his trips he found the truck they used for this show at a truck stop in New York state, on its way to some truck show or something somewhere, and got his picture taken in it. Believe it or not, I heard that truck is still out there somewhere on the road.

kstrucker1959 Says:

Feb 9, 2010 - there's a man in Burdett Kansas, that has one of the original trucks they used on the series, He said when he bought it they had 4 other ones for sale, He had a grain trailer hooked up to it when we were loading at the same elevator.
