Jul 25, 2008 - how fitting you showed a pussy and then paned to a honda

Jul 25, 2008 - Hey Dave cool video are u selling that green honda cause ive seen that car in a video before and i might want to buy it

darinneagle Says:

Jul 25, 2008 - good video just a tiny bit off on the psi of ambient air at sea level...its 14.7 psi at sea level ;P

elvedin555 Says:

Jul 25, 2008 - how gay non turbo cars and airintakes does nohing hahhha ffs..

OldsLSSL67 Says:

Jul 27, 2008 - But, Dave, the last part of the vid I don't think applies to GM's 3.8 or LSX motors. Why? Because the new G8 is already running a 6 psi magnacharger on the stock 6.0L motor right down to the intake. Also, the top swap on the 3800 II motor works fine with the stock MAF up to 8 psi IIRC. Correct me if i'm wrong though. I'd love to give my dad a S/C for his 3.8L 02 Regal. LOL

Jul 28, 2008 - theres a lot of ricers who really need to study this video!!

rm125 Says:

Jul 28, 2008 - The new G8 doesn't have a S/C 6.0L. Its simply an L76 6.0L.

OldsLSSL67 Says:

Jul 29, 2008 - Correct. The magnacharger is a aftermarket blower that is already being used in G8s.

Jul 30, 2008 - Dave you need to teach automotive class at some school. You realy know your stuff and you seem to like teaching others.

AwoL81 Says:

Jul 30, 2008 - How is the Shelby Z running now days. Any plans installing more mods for her?

MoPar7055 Says:

Jul 30, 2008 - positive displacement blowers (superchargers) aren't actually compressors, they are positive displacement pumps

MoPar7055 Says:

Jul 30, 2008 - Or MAF sensor, not all cars with forced induction use a speed density system :)

hondaboii89 Says:

Jul 30, 2008 - Lovin That Civic!

SixHundredHP Says:

Aug 17, 2008 - That's what a lot of people need to understand about adding a turbo. You can't just bolt it on . . . if the internals of the engine are weak, you'll most likely cause engine failure.

ryanwitski Says:

Aug 18, 2008 - well i get 28 mpg with my 5.0 21 on a humid day with high heat and no cruise. so on average with my daily driving it is only about $30

Moparman58 Says:

Aug 29, 2008 - Probably highway mileage.

ChryslerCruiser Says:

Sep 9, 2008 - When I had my '91 Plymouth Sundance RS w/ 2.5L TBI engine, I did some cold air intake mods: I installed 2 air scoops below the radiator mounting beam. I put a K&N air filter in. I gutted out my air box by cutting out everything in it. I removed the pre-heater coolant hoses from da intake manifold. All of this made a substantial difference in performance. Later on, I cut a hole in my hood to install a hoodscoop. This didn't turn out as well as I thought, so I recovered that part of the hood.

ChryslerCruiser Says:

Sep 9, 2008 - The type of hoses I ran in my crafted cold air intake system in my '91 Sundance RS were silver dryer hoses bought from Lowes. On my air box, I cut a hole on the right & added a snout to accomodate the 2nd air scoop. One more thing I did was add a throttle body spacer. I read that this gives a little bit more torque on the 2.2/2.5L TBI's.

Sep 14, 2008 - This is a cool video, I learned a couple of new things about forced induction.

captain150 Says:

Oct 1, 2008 - Superchargers (and turbochargers) are actually dynamic air compressors, not positive displacement. They don't have a set "displacement", like a piston compressor, which IS a positive displacement compressor. Also, they are compressors (not pumps) since they increase the pressure of the gas (and thus reduce the volume). They compress it. Pumps merely increase the pressure of a liquid. Since liquids don't really compress, the volume doesn't change much.

MoPar7055 Says:

Oct 1, 2008 - A positive displacement blower isn't a compressor, its move a certain amount of volume per every revolution but the effect is the same.

captain150 Says:

Oct 2, 2008 - What are you calling a "positive displacement blower"? I already mentioned that a supercharger on a car is not positive displacement. A supercharger increases the pressure of the air to the engine, and thus reduces its specific volume. This makes it a compressor. It's not the same type of compressor as the one in a fridge, for example, but it's still a compressor.

Oct 12, 2008 - ha! intake plenifold! soo funny. you rock dave!

loadedlover12 Says:

Oct 30, 2008 - i think on the cold air intakes you feel the HP at higher RPMs but you get more HP in the after affect but the short ram intakes get the HP faster because it gets the air to the moter faster but with less HP in the after affect than the cold air intake... the cold air intake also gets colder air by it being by the lower bumber part
