Note on the rejected EU Constitution and Lisbon Treaty: The people of France and the Netherlands rejected the proposed EU constitution in the 2005 referendums. After this, other countries cancelled a promised referendum and the EU Constitution was re-written as an "amending treaty" or a "reform treaty" and named "Treaty of Lisbon". On the basis of this deceit, they claimed that no referendums are necessary on the Lisbon Treaty. Ireland was constitutionally required to hold a referendum and on the 12 June 2008 the people of Ireland gave a resounding No to Lisbon. Yet this vote is not being respected and the rule of law is being ignored. The EU leaders agreed at the June 19-20 EU Summit that ratifications must go on. Moreover, no other government is asking the people. The Lisbon Treaty establishes a new "European Union" with joint citizenship - an EU "federal" State that is technically and politically empowered to centralize more power in Brussels. The treaty also stipulates the militarisation of the Union in order to 'police the world' just like the US does today. .................................. Nov 20, 2008 - I have the evidence of my own eyes. But again you are throwing a smkescreen around the true fact that the IRA/SF have denied over 3000 families their loved ones this Christmas, it is as simple as that, so you carry on bleating about bloody sunday and I will remember the filthy swine called the IRA Sinn Fein!

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - The only whitewash and smoke screen is the one you are throwing up. If the real facts came out about bloody sunday, it would blow the peace process apart because it would prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the Parachute regiment were justified. Tony Blair instructed that the findings had, at all costs to exonerate the victims at the cost of a noble regiment, even though it will be lies. He has also delayed its publish date for 4 years at least.

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - the British whats new there sure how many other countries perished and that are in caois because of the hands of britan and got away with murder and as the the wars like world war 1&2 alot of the british army was made up from the irish.

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - What are you talking about?? Chaos, where?? Dont make sweeping statements without qualifying them. Yes 120,000 irish in WW1(including my Grandfather) and 50,000 in WW2. In this latter war, those Irish heroes were shunned by their own when they returned to ireland, to the shame of all irish folk! But then lets not forget the official irish stance in WW2, a pact with Hitler, support for the final solution and rampant anti semetism.

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - well we will wait and see what comes out of this public enquiry and this enquiry most investigation into the accounts of what happened that day and you can still believe the biased enquiry by the british government that was a whitewash

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - all around the world yous have caused chaos just look at your history boy! and now your talking for all irish people your talking nonsonse now ireland= neutral country

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - Wrong!! But tell me are you denying the anti semtisim of the 1940s irish government, the irish pact with hitler and mussolini, the fact that mobs in dublin ransacked the British and US embassies the fact that the UN denied Irelands membership becuase of all this and Ireland was also denied Marshal Aid in 1946 plus Simon Weistenthal described Irleand as being as evil as Nazi Germany? Now come on tell me all about it, you see History is what I do!

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - your getting of the point that the british army killed 13 inocent men wow we could go on and go on about what our goverments did but i can tell you that the british government done alot more wrong than the irish goverment! you like to point out other wrongs by others but not the british army nor the british government thats sad! sure the british government is fascist as they can be not letting the public vote on the lisbon treaty because its all for the NWO.

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - "the British Government did alot more wrong". Where?? Standing up to Hitler? Giving the World democracy(Magna Carta), bringing the industrial revolution(something that Ireland missed by the way). And let me remind you that it is the present British Government that gave an amnesty to IRS terrorists to help move the peace process forward, yep a real facist Government that one! You are deluded young person, severely deluded!

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - yes on their travels around the world killing and slavoury of inocent people spliting counties in 2 the cause of other countries to fight against eachother i thaught you DO HISTORY? i see you like to forget the wrongs of the british army and government your in deniel & biased of true history facts i see cracks in your comments of a sad person that cant the truth be the truth the british goverment took the right of the british people to vote on the lisbon treaty.IRISH will allways be the better

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - race of irish and british if you cant beat us join us (cead mile faite) stop trying to cover up the wrongs of the british army and british government all rights and no wrongs i dont think so sure the irish workers played a big roll in building britain.why is britan not liked all over the world apart from america that doesnt just come from nothing it comes from facts in HISTORY and present like war on iraq i could go on but no point because u cant take the fact of the bad british HISTORY !

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - Which was the first country to abolish and criminalise slavery? Ever heard of William Wilberforce, Billy Pitt or John Newton(the man who wrote Amazing Grace)?? And you have not yet told of British wrongs? Whats up, sad because Irelands only mark on the World is terrorism, the IED and misery? Jealousy is what I would say, you really would like to be a Brit wouldnt you!!!

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - Do you honestly believe that anyone will take any notice of a little palce of less than 5 million? There are 65 million in France, there are 35 million in Spain and 90 million in Germany, do you think they will be dictated to by a little country that contributes nought but takes a lot? NO!!!!

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - To put some meat on this, there are 5 million of you in that green and wet place, there are 16 million in London alone! Does that put it into perspective for you? Great Britain is a multi cultural country, Ireland is not, in fact we refer to you as the "pure breds".

Fuehrersesel Says:

Nov 20, 2008 - I can partly agree with warrenhobb, especially when the NO vote (a few hundred thousands votes) only out-counted the Yes vote by a few thousand. (Another few thousand Irish yes voters could not get their asses off to vote for the EU progress. Who voted No? Sinn Fein, The Ganley crowd (whoever they are) Kathy Sinnot supporters, Irish Neo-Nazis (yes there are some) and some frustrated marginalised Irish (frustrated not by the EU frustrated by their Government.)

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - ha i see by your comments your losing the plot & our argument well if you cant beat us join us obvious Brittin thaught this little place was good enough to move over here and kill and take over the place ah sure probally half all them populations have irish roots in them including your self hard luck bud hope you come around and let that hate tat you have for the us go i no its not your fault your in dineil about the british army cos every1 no's wat they did was wrong WE SHOULD MEET UP 4 A DRINK

gitserscolt Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - YOU dont know nothing just look up the NEW WORLD ORDER and you'll see who really is neo-nazis EU leaders are all in for the NEW WORLD ORDER and why they tried to push the lisbon treaty in hush hush and why they wont take no for an answer just look into who really runs the show the people who own all the banks look deep and you will find the truth

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Ah, a believer in the Illuminati!

warrenhobb Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Lost the plot?? I think not. there is something of the Monty Python Black Knight in you!

kevinfirbolg Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - warrenhobb and gitserscolt are both silly for fighting over the British and Irish thing in the wars Britan and Ireland had at the top of the governments were pissing them selfs at both sides the wars was only to bring in more injust laws in both courntrys and cameras on every street corner. and if they couldnt get people to do the bombings they would carry it out themselves like the Omagh bombing and Dublin and Monaghan bombing i know this because of the monuments they put up you only have2look

TeslaGenius Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Sarkozy&Barroso are New World Order Euroclowns! STOP THE E.U.!

Trav1er02 Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - And what type of clown are you then?

TeslaGenius Says:

Nov 21, 2008 - Well..I"m not NAZI clown like your friends or communist clown. I believe in democracy and right to vote for all people. That must be respected. They can't take sovereignty of countries without vote.

demboys18 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - My bad, was so happy writing the ting I just wrote the first name that came to mind. Still, I say "well done." To the Irish.

demboys18 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Anyways, this is funny because people are always asking Americans why we are always so "paranoid" of the U.N. and the European Union..THIS IS WHY! The average American does not want to partner with Mexico, Canada, or any other country. Because we like our constitution and our bill o' rights (which we are fighting our own government for). "Good neighboors build good fences." Yes, we love to trade and talk, but for god's sake we need our own private space. Enough with this eutopia bullshit.
