Nov 26, 2008 - Beethoven, Shakespeare, and Michelangelo. These three are, in my opinion, the greatest luminaries mankind has- or ever will- see.

Nov 29, 2008 - I have known and loved this movement for nearly 40 years, and it still even today moves me to tears. It is a constant companion : I hum it to myself sometimes when out walking and not able to play a recording. Rarefied, and other-worldly music, created by one of Music's greatest geniuses. My hope is that it will be heard and understood by the millions in the years to come, and that they will be enriched & enlivened by the experience, as I have been. Blessed Beethoven, rest in peace.

Dec 2, 2008 - He had a sad life. His father was an abusive drunk who would wake him up before school to play the piano. He than became def at an early age in the early part of his great carear. In the last years of his life he was in a nasty custody battle with his sister in-law regarding his nephew. He never got his way and it all went more down hill for him. If we all cry hearing his sonatas, imagine how the tears would roll out of his eyes?

Dec 7, 2008 - The world wasn't ready for Beethoven. We weren't ready for him. He led a long and hard life, scorned by people for his deafness (which, by the way, he developed in his adulthood, not his childhood, as many people believe), and yet he could still make the most beautiful, heart-wrenching sounds. I like to think he did it because music isn't just sound -- it's feeling, and all the deafness in the world couldn't stop Ludwig from feeling.
Pianoismyantidrug2 Says:
Dec 7, 2008 - We never deserved him, but we should still be thankful for what he DID give us in his time here on Earth before he died. In a way, he reminds of Freddie Mercury. Both had music flowing through them, and both still live on to this day as legends.
