Nov 12, 2008 - Some one finally yelled the maestro cant hear you!, hi is deaf! Smetana realised what was happening, when people were standing up and applauding. Must had been heartbreaking for everyone.

Boonari Says:

Nov 12, 2008 - When B. Smetana wrote this symphony, he was totally deaf. On the night of the premiere he asked to be seated by his choice, so he can feel vibration of his music. He was supposedly very pleased with play, but it took him very long time to realised, that people around him were giving him and to his work ovation.

Nov 14, 2008 - Na hymnu je moc dlouhá, příliš hudebně náročná a to nemluvím o tom, jak blbě se Vltava zpívá;-P

Nov 16, 2008 - That's right, forget Communism in Cold War. Eastern European's culture can be as bright as their western counterpart.

Nov 22, 2008 - Did Smetana steal the melody of the Israel national anthem?

Loosetear Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Smetana lived in the 19th century...Israel anthem in mid-20th century. He never stole.
