Stand the heroes waiting for your cries. So many times you did not bring this on yourself. When the moment finally comes, I'll be there to help. On that day, when you need your brothers and sisters to care. I'll be right here. Citizen soldiers. Holding the light of the ones that we guide from the dark of despair. Standing on guard for the ones that we've sheltered. We'll always be ready because we will always be there. When there're people crying in the streets When they're starving for a meal to eat When they simply need a place to make their beds Right here underneath my wing you can rest your head On that day when you need your brothers and sisters to care I'll be right here Citizen soldiers. Holding the light of the ones that we guide from the dark of despair. Standing on guard for the ones that we've sheltered. We'll always be ready because we will always be there. Hope and pray that you never need me the rest assured, I will not let you down I walk beside you but you may not see me The strongest among you may not were a crown On that day when you need your brothers and sisters to care I'll be right here On that day when you don't have a strenght for the burden you bare I'll be right here Citizen soldiers holding the light of the ones that we guide from the dark of dispair Standing on guard for the ones that need shelter We'll always be ready because we will always be there

Dec 1, 2008 - Our troops did not Start this war - They are Fighting it - Bush Started it. And they risk there lives for that reason - They are doing what they are told to do - Give em a choice and My bet is they would all choose life and come home! How can you equate that with non support. Just cause I dont want to see another one die there. Let Iraqies Die for Iraq. Im for America.

davidbeutler2009 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - oh for sure! don't get me wrong i'd love if it was that way but the wrong ones are being killed by the terrorist and it well get bad enough that iraq is a known terrorist country and they hate america.. they will take over iraq and then come for us! i do not support the war i support you and our soldiers, but at the same time something had to be done.. and it did now we need out of there

DogDro Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - I have made 3 Posts that did not post - Whos editing this?

Rinocerente Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - PRES BUSH SUCKS LIKE ****! My uncle is flying A-10's and is going to be stationed in AFGHANISTAN! He would've been flying the A-10's in Tuscan Arizona for the rest of his service. But effin Pres. Bush had to start a war that did not need to be started. We will never win the war in Iraq. No-one will. Unless we kill every Single Iraqi that looks like a terrorist.

jaguar043786 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - I totally agree. I DO NOT support this war, I think it is stupid and NEVER should have happened in the first place. However, that doesn't mean I don't support the troops, because I do. It IS possible to support those involved without supporting the general idea.

joedaddy444 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - listen to yourselfs. writing on a youtube video about a war that any one of you would have fought if you had the intelligence we had at the time we started. You idiots dont even know what your talking about so check up on facts before you talk shit about our own president.

bringbackthemetal Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - It was made/dedicated to the NG cause the NG saved their asses. The different era's show just how America has been in conflict, and how it's been the Army who's been there every time. but you're right, it's your opinion.

nutman007 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Congress, the senate, yes all of your representatives gave permission to start this war and they will choose when to end it. IGNORANCE is no exuse. We elected them. They voted. All this shit about Bush, is this what will be said when Obama pushes and gets further intervention into Afghanastan, ohhh no not that. Who we blame then. Did we forget 9/11? the people of India understand the families of those who were slain in Great Britain understand.

Dec 1, 2008 - do you ever think that maybe they respect what you do and are only trying to show respect?

TrueMercun Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Agreed, joedaddy444! Self-loathing, anti-American imbeciles will always be there to wave the white flag of defeat and ignorance. God bless our soldiers and our President—whomever shall he/she be!

bobbysalways Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - I think so. My dad is a retired soldier from the army and I asked how he felt about this song. He listened to it for a while and replied that he wanted this song. My dad is the most patriotic person i have ever known in my life. So if he appriciates the song then I do as well, i actually wanted to join the army.

DogDro Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Man - What intell ? Wepons of mass destruction? Sounds like some intelligence is what Bush ought to have collected. Our Navy can see a fly over horizon on radar on lapel of Captian (I saw it on Navy TV add) but we cant find Bin efin around Afganistan - Guess it was all worth it - I feel US is Totaly safe from Tererist attack now - Dont you?

valor423 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Joedaddy, thankyou for posting one of the few bits of sense here. Its seriously sad that so many americans turned their backs on the right thing, how quickly and easily we forget what brought us to where we are today. Furthermore, that video gives me chills, it seriously reminds us how freedom is not to be taken for granted and all those who fought so that this country stays free.

valor423 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Jaguar043786, war is a terrible thing and should never happen, however, with all due respect, I suppose if some stranger walked into your home, hurt and/or killed someone in your family you'd let them go(eventually to do it again).........I didnt think you would, the general idea is to keep that from happening again. I think thats a good cause.

jaguar043786 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - The reason I don't support it is because I feel that Pres. Bush used false reasons to go to war in the first place. Supposedly they had Weapons of Mass Destruction, which were never found. We got Saddam so why are we still there? His father tried to solve the Iraq/Iran thing when he was president and failed. I feel Pres. Bush just made up reasons in order to go to war and try to finish his father's work. Also, I don't think Congress declared war, so we should have withdrawn after 90 days.

LRStealth Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Valor423, I can agree with you...we cannot take freedom for granted. We need to honor what the service men and woman do for us in different parts of the world right now for us..I'm going to pay my respects by not forgetting them and join the Marines when I am able to do so and I got the education I want for it.
