Second he obviously doesn't know what the commands are for half the shit he wants to make it do. Third why is it funny or surprising when the computer types what he says into the mic? Here's a news flash. The computer can't tell you weren't talking to it. Most of his trouble was caused by realizing this simple and basic fact.

For me anyhow. Secondly, only several of his problems were due to ignorance. Thirdly, it was humorous because it was hilariously bad at figuring out what he was saying; not because it was quoting him verbatim.

Nov 23, 2008 - I know exactly what he feels like, the voice recognition is pretty crappy at first because it hasn't been trained, and sometimes other noise confuses it. And it's not really designed for doing programming! Though once it's trained it's pretty cool and somewhat practical.

Vista speech recognition works for me EXCEPT if I repeat a word or short phrase it jumps back to the first time I used it; often it jumps to bringing up a set of numbered choices; basically, I NEVER issue commands (other than "open parentheses" etc) yet it keeps interpreting what I say as a command. Any suggestions?
