View the video response for an in sync version or click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbR4wSAE7NY We at Geek Teks are very proud NOT to be associated with the Geek Squad or any of the other companies mentioned in this video. We are very different. Read on to find out why some or our policies help maintain accountability within our company and keep us a very honest business. You see, unlike the Geeksquad and other well-known computer repair service centers, not only do you not pay UNLESS we fix it, but also, you do not pay UNTIL we fix it. We do not charge your account UNTIL after we have obtained your signature on our invoice indicating your complete %100 satisfaction with both our service and charges as they appear on the invoice. By implementing these policies into the framework of our SOP, we are able to build trust in our business and renew consumer confidence. Also, all of our teks are highly experienced and therefore skilled. Our teks usually have at least three certifications: A+, Net+, and Sec+. Although we don't feel the certifications are really the most important qualification of a good tek, we understand they are important in the eyes of most consumers. Finally, our teks undergo a complete and thorough background check. Our company takes pride in becoming as transparent as possible to the consumer. Why? Because we have absolutely nothing to hide. See, when your an honest company, you can implement honest policies such as ours without fear of consumer fraud. We trust our customers and we know that our customers trust us. And that is just the way a good honest business in North America should run. Oct 6, 2008 - the best idea is to learn to fix the computer your self, and forget about the rip off artists.
jellyjam10534 Says:
Oct 7, 2008 - Get individuals who can spend time on the computer to fix it not some big corporation like geeksquad/best buy which tries to service many computers at once I think so they can get profits.

Oct 12, 2008 - I work for Best Buy/Geek Squad doing customer satisfaction surveys. Lemma tell you don't take your computer there, they are out to rip you off. The "Geeks" have little training and are more interessted in snooping in your files for stuff (Indentity theft and porn) then they are fixing your computer. They steal things as well like extra RAM ect.

Oct 15, 2008 - I work at Circuit City as a Firedog Tech, and I don't know if you're joking, but there is truth in there. I've had customers come in who took it to the geek squad, and it still didn't work. They bring it to me; Their first hard drive is missing, or their ram, or I've even had once; Their CPU. Geek Squad is pathetic in my opinion; We call them all the time, and just ask them questions to see how knowledgeable they are. For the most part, they aren't.

Oct 22, 2008 - Good to see that a company is actually helpful, well at least by this video description. GeekSquad is retarded. Haha It's like auto-repair, learn to do it yourself so you can help yourself and your buddy next time.

mryellow123 Says:
Nov 18, 2008 - It takes time to find a problem like a disconnected cable. Especially as the customers description was that it had worked and then stopped, something not symptomatic to this problem. The last place you'd look is the IDE cable, I'd charge plenty for that time.
blueshadow1996 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - it takes minutes to find a disconnected ribbon cable..If there was a no power.check the power cord..
tanio12 Says:
Nov 23, 2008 - LOL at so-called experts charging 275.00 for a half a board LOL. Props up to the one service that did it for free lOL. I see GeekTeks are on a hunt to take down Geek Squad. keep doing your thing.

Nov 29, 2008 - that is so messed up that why i get warranty from hp and buy my computers from there
BenAshton24 Says:
Oct 4, 2008 - lol, computer repair sucks however the power supply suggestion isn't as retarded as it sounds, if there was a slight problem with the power supply and there was no power going to the hard drive then the computer would produce the same error. I'm sure lots of computer repair people do get complacent and forget to check connections as it is unlikely that they come undone; unless someone unplugs them. :P
