Apr 17, 2008 - ...Its suppose to be that way idiot...Baroque...jeez...learn your fricken musical periods before you post!

Apr 17, 2008 - Topiety, by the way just wanted to say, in any actual argument or debate, you are unable to quote religious documents as not everyone believes in them. So really you have no argument as you just go back to the bible.

Apr 21, 2008 - Topiety how about you do something useful and preach to people that need it the most. Just keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself for now. This comment section is for us, the members of youtube to praise the video for its excellence or give it suggestions if we think it could be better. It is not for you to constantly quote the bible is such as way as that you can misuse the words that God gave us in order to win petty arguments that just lead to loss for both parties. Thank you, God bless.

May 7, 2008 - This is not a baroque piece at all, it is classical. Same period as mozart.

Jun 25, 2008 - Does anyone know in which edition of this concerto I can find the Britten cadenza?

cellolove7 Says:

Jul 2, 2008 - kind of ironic....you telling people to learn their music periods and saying this is baroque when it's really classical.

Jul 3, 2008 - I don't think her life was tragic at all. She was rather one of few lucky ones who enjoyed devine gift...(how many musicians try to be where she once was and yet never get there?!) although her musical life wasn't long she sparkled at full degree and she still is...the unwanted sickness makes it all the more beautiful... she is immortal... If our lives were to be perfect there would never be art in the first place.

Jul 5, 2008 - I think a lot of editions have this cadenza written in, but I would go for the Henle edition =) thats the one I use anyway, although I don't use the cadenza in there

Jul 19, 2008 - Lol, Haydn's a classical composer :O HANDEL's the baroque one if you're thinking of him (I mess them up a lot in the exam xD) Awesome piece. Loved this interpretation. Some of the intonation was really off, but I'm prepared to overlook them because the rest of it was sooo great xD

vegetablet Says:

Jul 20, 2008 - no! wtf???

ammifan Says:

Jul 20, 2008 - Yes! And Rostropovich even declared that she would be "the only cellist of the younger generation that could equal and overtake [his] own achievement". (Wiki)
