Dec 12, 2007 - yes I read that on the back of Yang Jwing Ming's book on the subject, but the muscle-tendon changing effect, is not dependent on any specific set of physical movements, but is a result of correct chi gung. You can do tai chi, and get the muscle tendon changing, you can do hsin I and you get muscle-tendon changing, you can stand the Post and get the muscle tendon changing effect, its the effect that matters, not the movements

Jan 23, 2008 - from what i understand Chi Kung literally means 'training/invoking chi' Tai Chi (Tai chi chuan) is a martial art, although some forms now have their main focus on health. 'Tai Chi' means the same as yin/yang theories of taoism. It is about the harmony of opposites and part of this is the relationship between movement/will and breath, which is where they're is some overlap between tai chi chuan and chi kung. Tai chi chuan has its own chi kung exercises.

that1phucker Says:

Mar 1, 2008 - This is what I learned in China, the traditional way. There may be some other variations, but this is the main stream set.

phoenizboi Says:

Mar 2, 2008 - Thanks for your reply. Have you checked the link to that website? Can you give me some advice on which stream to follow? My main concern is whether the demonstration from the link is correct lol coz I dont want to learn the wrong thing and hurt myself =(

serpentvolant Says:

Mar 12, 2008 - there is no REAL yi jin jing, nor "traditional" way. You won't find 2 yi jin jing sets that completly resemble each others

Apr 19, 2008 - Hello, It's too bad you're in San Diego , I use to live there. I now live in Las Vegas. I'm a begginer in GiGong and I will be starting on Monday. Can you give me some pointers of how many times a day I should practice? Do you have to be a master in order to heal yourself? I'm using this as a preventative medicine. I had breast cancer and I've read allot of wonderful things about Tai chi and Gigong. I'm looking for a doctor who knows about herbs too.. Any advice ? I love your videos! Thanks -

May 5, 2008 - but where did the "real" forms go? this was created by dharma wasn't it?

serpentvolant Says:

May 5, 2008 - Take a look at Dr Yang Jwing Ming's book about Yi Jin Jing. It remains based upon the legend but...still interesting Anyway each form is pretty valuable, both static (12 postures) and dynamic (this vid)

VRJaguarandi Says:

Jun 4, 2008 - what there was only one manual in all of China? How about oral teachings? the most effective stuff was never written down. it was passed down thru the family to ensure it would not end up in the wrong hands
