Nov 7, 2008 - i dont understand why brits always say americans dont understand their humour or that our huour is silly and childish, trigger happy tv was on american tv, and i think a lot of british humor is more extreme, the office for example i believe is more over the top in england.

hughh100 Says:

Nov 7, 2008 - our sense of humor is unique and even if u dont get it its funny - its the sterotype for us to be posh and funny our humor is ripping the piss out of americans! no offense but we thiunk u guyz are dumbass and fat!! I SAID NO OFFENCE!

Nov 9, 2008 - Im "British" and I find this funny. EVERYONE in every country is gonna have a different sense of humour. Some people will piss themselves laughing and some people won't even smile. Personally, my sense of humour revolves around random things, like the elevator doors opening and theres a guy on the toilet for NO REASON WTF?

DannyEastes Says:

Nov 9, 2008 - also, poor Jack the Ripper :(

tomstaizcool Says:

Nov 9, 2008 - im also british, and i agree with you. the americans just think that we are boring and we are posh and ugly, its a load of bullshit

Gwamus Says:

Nov 12, 2008 - this is why we as a british should stick to humour. and not drama's.

fozzyisgod Says:

Nov 14, 2008 - I'm British and I think British humour is the best in the world, we don't take offence like the rest of the world. Dom Jolly is a genius! Some American comedy is good, friends, American dad and family guy are my favourites, but American prank shows like punk'd are shite, they either take it too far or are simply not funny! We also have comedy quiz shows, Q.I, mock the week, never mind the buzzcocks, Sunday night project and so on, we are comedy masters!

SolidSnakeRules Says:

Nov 14, 2008 - well in America prank shows just lack that sort of creativity and cleverness that you see here

fozzyisgod Says:

Nov 15, 2008 - Very true, but to be fair to Americans, they think the same thing about our comedies, their sense of humour is different and it's the way people are raised! Ours is better though and a lot of Americans agree!

Underwaterdreaming Says:

Nov 27, 2008 - I am American. I hate American humor. It is redonkulous. Dry humor all the way. I couldn't stop laughing here.

lea210 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - you can't really narrow down American humor/humour the way you can with British humor because the U.S.A is an amalgmation of many different people with different backgrounds. There is no universal standards in the USA. For example there is the "blue collar" comedy which resonates more with the south and the working class.Black comedians in general tend to say a lot about race/social status. Then there is the concept of vulgar comedy vs clean "family comedy." Not all U.S. comedy is physical comedy.

lea210 Says:

Nov 30, 2008 - And as for punk'd..that comedy is directed at a niche market. Young MTV generation kids from 13-24. It hardly counts as a comedy that represents American humor.

CULLENizedxx Says:

Dec 2, 2008 - hahaha LOVED IT.i am a Filipino living in America who has a British sense of humor. seriously when i am over at some of my friends parties, and someone happens to tell a joke, it doesn't seem quite funny, but when something so random and spontaneous happens, i end up laughing where people actually think I'm crying because i am laughing so hard. i laugh at the most bizarre things and only a few close friends share my sense of humor. especially when it comes to watching others react to something.
