Information about Kwanzaa. From Wikipedia, I used a "text to speech" program for the audio, so I'm sure there are some mistakes in how some words are said. Also, I know I had to cutoff the "Criticism" part of the Wikipedia article, but I had the 10 minute Youtube limit and I thought it was the least important to a video to help us know about Kwanzaa. From December 26th to January 1st. Any mistakes are my fault or the fault of the various Wikipedia authors. Enjoy. (I hope to make more Wikipedia-Youtube meshvideos if people like this.) Jan 7, 2010 - You should've left as well, why are you still here?
satv365 Says:
Jan 10, 2010 - What are you afraid of? Celebrate whatever you like, even if it is a stupid attempt at ethnocentrism by the black "community"...
satv365 Says:
Jan 10, 2010 - It is actually a celebration of the birth of jesus. It's date of celebration has nothing to do with Jesus, however the holiday itself is all about Jesus. The Roman church chose the date so former pagans could have a hurf a durff on the winter solstice celebration.
satv365 Says:
Jan 10, 2010 - Numbnuts, Nobody actually believes Jesus was born on December 25th. Jesus' birthdate is undocumented. Christians celebrate his birth on December 25th.
satv365 Says:
Jan 10, 2010 - They are not African. If they where, they would have been born there.
satv365 Says:
Jan 10, 2010 - Kwanzaa has no roots in Africa. It was invented sometime before 1975 by a muzzy wannabe who thought blacks needed to do something different than the rest of the world. Even to this day, most blacks don't celebrate it and most blacks in America are still Christian.
4edutainment Says:
Jan 10, 2010 - @satv365 -- WRONG...Yes Kwanzaa does have roots in Africa. Swahili is a very old language from which the name was derived. You should read the history of these types of celebrations. Karenga FOUNDED the celebration in Calif. in the '60s -- but it is an old celebration from ancient Africa. READ BLACK HISTORY before making such harsh, off-base statements.
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Jan 15, 2010 - @satv365 stfu! YOU dont get to define what black folks are and what they are not. you have NO control over that definition.
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Jan 15, 2010 - @satv365 IDIOT! kwanzaa, cornrolling, gospel, hoodoo, jazz, and many african american traditions that were created here have roots in africa. and kwanzaa was invented in 1966, you half wit! yeah most blacks are still christian, so what?
satv365 Says:
Jan 16, 2010 - So you admit Kwanzaa is a stupid made up holiday meant only as a front for some ethnic nationalist crap, that noone buys anymore?
satv365 Says:
Jan 16, 2010 - Neither do you. I won't shut up either. I rather enjoy your stupid ramblings.
satv365 Says:
Jan 16, 2010 - No roots in Africa...
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Jan 16, 2010 - @satv365 you are such a stupid dumbass, its said repeatedly it was invented in '66, nor is it a front, it is a black nationalist holiday. people who are a part of the black community in this nation and the world it. kwanzaa doesnt rely on any myths for its relevance, it instead relies on the principals for a black community to commit to. so you morons keep making irrelevant points, sadly we get a lot of impotent white guys who get very frustrated, so they hurl attacks black topics.
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Jan 16, 2010 - @satv365 satv365 has no roots in africa. thank god for that, maybe aliens can claim him
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Jan 28, 2010 - @satv365 " you have NO control over that definition." of course i do you lame brain, thats kind of the point in having our own stuff, we get to name it.
satv365 Says:
Jan 28, 2010 - A collectivist mentality. Sacrifice your individuality, by all means.
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Feb 5, 2010 - @satv365 for someone who claims to value "individuality" you sure sound like a few MILLION other losers
peasah2005 Says:
Feb 8, 2010 - Kwanzaa has a lot of roots in Africa and that's why it is known as the first fruits of the harvest. It is obvious that in East Africa is where it all began. The reason why brainless African people don't celebrate because we've been trapped by Westernization.
peasah2005 Says:
Feb 8, 2010 - You don't have to be African to be born in Africa. As long you originated where you ancestors came from, that's what you are as well.
peasah2005 Says:
Feb 18, 2010 - @waddleduckie1 Relax, waddle, all I was saying that Africans should be aware that so-called Christmas is a fake and Kwanzaa isn't a so-called substute for so-called Christmas. Kwanzaa is a festivity that gets African people to be in-tuned with their roots and reality. That's all, calm down!
mikeyramone33 Says:
Feb 21, 2010 - why dont blacks celebrate an african religion? i mean i know killing children is illigal but maybe they can "kill" a doll and pretend its a sacrifice to thier dark gods.
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Mar 4, 2010 - @mikeyramone33 yeah, yeah, move along, idiot.
mikeyramone33 Says:
Mar 5, 2010 - @shoobedoorocketship the only idiots here are those that celebrate kwanza.
shoobedoorocketship Says:
Mar 9, 2010 - @mikeyramone33 only idiots here are the fools like you who come and insult the traditions of strangers because they have such a loser of a life they can think of nothing else to do. skip on home, little donkey!
manbearpig91 Says:
