Nov 29, 2008 - Wrong on so many levels. This a true story of a few thousand greeks that stood against the worlds biggest army and stopped them. The only way they could beat them was by threating a goat farmer to show them an old pass(historic fact, different from the movie). But they did stop and almost beat the whole persian army and that's why it's amazing.

Scenes and lines in the movie are taken directly from this comic, even some perspective shots were made to look like panels from the comic. The comic wasn't made to be historically accurate. Thus in the movie its depicted as being told through the eyes of one of their propaganda people, not as a historical account.
